Resetting to the factory settings deletes all settings made.
Setting the Tire Pressure Monitor-
ing System (TPMS)
WARNING
Incorrect settings
Too low or too high tire pressure destroys the tire
and wheel, extends the braking distance, and sig-
nificantly increases the risk of an accident.
Although the tire pressure monitoring system is
available, it is the driver's responsibility to ensure
that the tires are inflated to the correct tire pres-
sure and that the settings in the vehicle settings
are correct. Incomplete or incorrect settings may
affect the accuracy of warnings and messages.

Adjust tire pressure in accordance with the
tires fitted and the load.

Make sure that the settings in the Tire Pressure
Monitoring System menu correspond to the
tires fitted on the vehicle and its payload (espe-
cially after a wheel change or changes in ve-
hicle loading).

Then select the type and size of fitted tire again
in the Tire Pressure Monitoring System menu,
even if the settings for the newly fitted set of
wheels are the same as for the old wheels.

The required pressure, the pressure difference
from the required pressure at the relevant wheel as
well as the setting for load, tire type and size are
displayed.
Example: If
–1.5 psi (0.1 bar) is displayed for the
rear right wheel, 1.5 psi (0.1 bar) must be added
to this tire. The tire temperature has already been
taken into account in the pressures shown.

You should only use the pressure difference
from the display or the corresponding tire
pressure warning to correct the tire pressure.
In the case of tires that have not yet been taught-in,
the new target pressures are displayed instead of
the actual pressure differences.
