wipers move upward through approx. 45°.

WARNING
Unintentional wiping
In rain sensor mode, the windshield wipers wipe
automatically when water is detected on the
windshield.

Always switch off the windshield wipers before
cleaning the windshield.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to the hood, windshield and wiper
system.

Only wipe windows when sufficiently wet, oth-
erwise it could become scratched

Carefully detach frozen windshield wipers from
the windshield before driving.

Do not operate a frozen headlight cleaning
system.
e
Always switch off windshield wipers in car
washes to prevent them from wiping uninten-
tionally (rain sensor mode).

Do not operate the headlight cleaning system
in car washes.
e
Always hold the wiper arm securely when re-
placing windshield wipers.
e
Pay attention to the varying length of wind-
shield wipers when replacing.
e
Always switch off windshield wipers before
opening the hood (wiper lever in position
0 ). If
the wiper arms are not at their final position,
they will stop when the hood is opened. The
wiper arms remain at this position until the
hood is closed and the wiper system is
switched off and then on again.

0 – Windshield wipers off
When the windshield wipers and the ignition are
switched off, the wipers move up slightly from their
rest position so that the wiping edges are aligned
correctly.
