times, the camera cannot detect the lane lines, or
cannot detect them correctly. When this happens,
no steering intervention or an unexpected steering
intervention can occur.

Drive with extreme care.

Keep the direction of travel and the lane lines in
view at all times.

Clean the camera lens regularly and keep free
of snow and ice. Please see chapter "Car Care"
on page 72.

Do not cover the camera lens.

Check the windshield for damage in the area of
the camera lens.

In the case of a fault in the system or if Lane
Keep Assist does not function as described in
this section, do not use Lane Keep Assist. Visit
an authorized Porsche dealer.
Porsche recommends an authorized Porsche
dealer, as they have trained technicians and the
necessary parts and tools.
WARNING
No corrective steering
intervention in tight
bends
On tight bends, corrective steering intervention is
not enough to keep the vehicle in the lane. Lane
Keep Assist is deactivated and there is
no correc-
tive steering intervention.

Always hold the steering wheel with both
hands.
Information
The driver's steering behavior is monitored when
Lane Keep Assist is active. If there is no steering
activity, a warning appears on the instrument clus-
ter after a short time. The system prompts the
driver to actively take over the steering by means
of an acoustic warning and a text message on the
instrument cluster.
If the driver does not respond to this, Lane Keep
Assist switches to a passive mode (see status dis-
play). Steering intervention on the part of the driver
re-activates Lane Keep Assist.

off
Lane Keep Assist can be switched on and off in the
PCM.

Lane Keep Assist
If the vehicle inadvertently strays from the lane
when Lane Keep Assist is activated, it can be
guided back in again by means of corrective
steering intervention initiated by Lane Keep Assist.
In addition, a warning tone sounds when the ve-
hicle drives over the lane marking and the relevant
lane line in question appears in red on the instru-
ment cluster.Please see chapter "Setting the

Steering point
Early : In this setting, corrective steering interven-
tion takes place continuously in order to support
the driver in maintaining a central line within the
lane.
Late : In this setting, corrective steering interven-
tion only takes place shortly before the vehicle
crosses a detected lane marking.
Acoustic warning
The acoustic warning can be switched on and off
individually. The warning tone volume can also be
selected in 3 levels.
