Wipe up spilled engine oil with a cloth.

Cloths soaked with engine oil must be stored in
a well-ventilated area until disposal.

Allow the engine to cool before topping up en-
gine oil.
WARNING
Hot engine parts
The engine and adjacent components, and the ex-
haust system become very hot when the engine is
running.
e
Take care when working near hot vehicle parts,
particularly the engine and exhaust system.
e
Always turn off the engine and allow it to cool
down before working in the engine
compartment.
e
Proceed with extreme caution when working in
the engine compartment.
e
Only top up engine oil when the engine is stop-
ped and the ignition is switched off.
NOTICE
Too much or too little engine oil will damage the
engine. Too much engine oil can result in blue
smoke formation and cause damage to the emis-
sion control system in the long term.

Do not allow the oil level to drop below the min-
imum mark.
e
Only add engine oil to the maximum mark. In
the event of overfilling, correct this at the ear-
liest opportunity. Visit an authorized Porsche
dealer. Porsche recommends an authorized
Porsche dealer, as they have trained techni-
cians and the necessary parts and tools.
Make sure to note the following points:
– Use only engine oils approved by Porsche. Ob-
serve the service intervals.
– Oils approved by Porsche can be mixed.
– Do not use oil additives.
– If you suspect an engine leak, have the engine
checked immediately.Visit an authorized Por-
sche dealer. Porsche recommends an author-
ized Porsche dealer, as they have trained
technicians and the necessary parts and tools.

displayed by the retailer. To find out more about
the current approvals: Contact an authorized Por-
sche dealer.
Add engine oil

1. Read the engine-oil level in the instrument
cluster.

2. Unscrew the cap of the oil filler opening.
3. Add that the amount of engine oil displayed in
the instrument cluster. Never add more than
the amount of engine oil indicated.
4. Carefully close the cap of the oil filler opening.
