Changing the battery (CR 2032, 3V)
1.
Remove the emergency key.
2. Unclip the vehicle key housing to the right and
left.
3. Unscrew the battery cover counter-clockwise
and remove.
4. Change the battery (check polarity).
5. Re-fit the battery cover and screw it back on
firmly clockwise.
Ensure that the emergency key can be pushed
in again.
6. Push the vehicle key housing upwards from be-
low and clip into place.
7. Insert the emergency key.
Starting vehicle when vehicle key
battery is discharged or there is
radio interference
Malfunctions of wireless communication between
the vehicle and vehicle key, or a discharged vehicle
key battery, can disable the Porsche Comfort Ac-
cess function.
Then when starting the vehicle, observe the
following:
1. Lay the vehicle key face up at the front left in
the storage compartment in the center
console.
2. Turn the operating device to ignition lock posi-
tion
2 and then back to position 0 .
3. Turn the operating device to ignition lock posi-
tion
2 again.

Ordering a replacement key and
keeping in a safe place
Vehicle keys can only be ordered from an author-
ized Porsche dealer. This can take a long time.

Always have a replacement key available.
e
Keep the replacement key in a safe place, but
under no circumstances in or on the vehicle.
To teach new vehicle keys for the vehicle:
e
Visit an authorized Porsche dealer. Porsche
recommends an authorized Porsche dealer, as
they have trained technicians and the neces-
sary parts and tools.
e
Teach all vehicle keys belonging to the vehicle
again.

A total of eight vehicle keys can be taught.

e
If a vehicle key is lost or stolen, have an au-
thorized Porsche dealer disable this vehicle key
in the vehicle and change the mechanical locks
if necessary.

You should notify your insurance company of
the loss or theft of vehicle keys or of the pro-
duction of additional or replacement keys.
