Disabling controls in the rear –
child protection

Using the rear side window roll-up
sunblind
Information
The roll-up sunblinds on the rear side windows can
be raised or lowered only when the rear side win-
dows are closed.
The roll-up sunblinds move automatically to the
correct final position.
If child protection is activated, the roll-up sunblinds
on the rear side windows can only be operated us-
ing the power window buttons in the driver’s door.

Lowering roll-up sunblind on rear side window

Pull the rocker switch for the relevant window
until the required position is reached.

If the rear shade is retracted, press and hold
the sunblind switch.
The roll-up sunblind on the rear side window is
lowered.
Raising roll-up sunblind on rear side window
e
Press the rocker switch for the relevant window
until the required position is reached.
– or –
e
If the rear shade blind is extended, press and
hold the sunblind switch.
The roll-up sunblind on the rear side window is
raised.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to the lowered roll-up sunblinds if
the rear side windows are opened while traveling at
speeds over 110 mph (180 km/h).

Do not open the rear side windows when the
roll-up sunblinds are lowered at speeds of over
110 mph (180 km/h).
Using the rear shade
Information
If child protection is activated, the rear shade can
only be operated via the PCM.
