Marble cake
Makes 18 slices
Ingredients
250 g butter
200 g caster sugar
3 tsp vanilla sugar
4 eggs
160 ml milk
500 g plain flour
5 tsp baking powder
3 tbsp cocoa powder
Method
Cream together the butter, caster
sugar, vanilla sugar and eggs. Stir in
130 ml of milk. Then sift the flour and
baking powder and mix into the
creamed butter mix.
Stir the cocoa power and remaining
milk into about 1/3 of the mixture.
Add half of the light mixture to a ring tin
(

26 cm). Pour the cocoa mixture on
top of this and then finish off with the
rest of the light mixture.
Swirl a fork through the mixture to give
a marbled effect, and bake.
