BOP-1K 091719
B-7
Description:
Populates a memory location with operating parameters that can be loaded quickly.
The actual
output of power supply does not change when this command is executed. Implementing the stored
parameters requires the use of the *RCL command (PAR. A.10). Following the 2-digit memory location
are eight comma-separated parameters. All parameters must appear in the exact order listed above.
The parameters have the following functions:
<Mode>= Determines the operating mode of the power supply: VOLT for voltage mode, CURR for current mode or
EMODE for external programming mode (where operating mode (either voltage or current mode) is
controlled by a signal on a single pin. (Same as FUNC:MODE or MODE command, see PAR. B.53,
NOTE: EMODE is the same as FUNC:MODE EXT.)
<Vsetpoint>= Numerical value determines the voltage output in voltage mode.
<Csetpoint>= Numerical value determines the current output in current mode.
<Pprotect>=
In voltage mode or current mode
: Numerical value of VOLT:PROT POS in current mode or
CURR:PROT POS in voltage mode
In EMODE:
Numerical value establishes both the positive and negative protection limits for current.
(Same as CURR:PROT command, see PAR. B.37.)
<Nprotect>=
In voltage mode or current mode
: Numerical value of VOLT:PROT NEG in current mode or
CURR:PROT NEG in voltage mode
In EMODE:
Numerical value establishes both the positive and negative protection limits for voltage.
(Same as VOLT:PROT command, see PAR. B.113.)
<Output>= Determines whether the output is ON or OFF (Same as OUTP command, see PAR. B.21.)
<V/C Mode>= Determines whether control is by the internal reference (FIXed) or by an external reference. Similar
to VOLT:MODE (see PAR. B.113 for voltage mode or CURR:MODE (see PAR. B.35 for current mode).
EXT - configures the unit to use an external reference to change the main channel, whether voltage or
current.
GAIN - Configures the unit to use an external reference to provide a proportional output voltage.
ADD - Sums the external reference with either the internal reference produced from CURR or VOLT
commands in remote mode, or front panel controls in local mode.
<V/C Protect Mode>= Determines how voltage or current protection limits are controlled in voltage or current mode
of operation. Similar to VOLT:PROT:MODE (see PAR. B.113) for voltage mode or CURR:PROT:MODE
(see PAR. B.39) for current mode.
PFIXed - Allows the limits to be controlled by digital signals from either the keypad (if the unit is in local
mode) or SCPI command (if the unit is in remote mode).
PEXTernal - Allows both current and voltage limits to be controlled by analog signals applied to the
analog port; limits set from the keypad or SCPI command have no effect
PLESser Allows protect limit to be automatically selected from either 1) an external analog voltage
applied to the Analog I/O port or 2) the value set from the either the keypad (local mode) or by SCPI
command (remote mode). Whichever limit has a lower absolute value (closest to zero) has effect
When this command is executed, all setpoints and limits are first set to 0’s and the current mode and
output on/off states are written to location xx. Then any data provided overwrites the existing value of
this parameter. This allows for simpler syntax when setting parameters to 0 by simply omitting the data
for that parameter. To set current setpoint and voltage protect settings to 0, sending MEM:LOC
10,VOLT,10,,,4,,,ON is sufficient. (See example, Figure B-2.)
B.18
MEMory:LOCation? QUERY
MEM:LOC?
Syntax:
Short Form: MEM:LOC? xx
Long Form: MEMory:LOCation xx
Return Value: <MODE>,<VSetpoint>,<Csetpoint>,<Pprotect>,<Nprotect>,<ON OFF><V/C Mode>,
<V/C Protect Mode>
Description:
Returns the settings for the location xx (01 through 99).
Numerical values returned represent, in
order, <VSetpoint>,<Csetpoint>,<Pprotect>,<Nprotect>. See PAR. B.17 for parameter definitions.
(See example, Figure B-2.)
