OV
Over-rate indication
OV=0 FMCs for the connection are scheduled by the APC as part of the channel
number’s bitrate. That is, the PM cells are sent as part of the channel’s allocated
bandwidth.
OV=1 FMCs for the connection are scheduled by inserting the channel number directly
into the transmit queue (bypassing the APC). The PM cells are thus sent outside the
channel’s allocated bandwidth causing the overall bit rate of the channel to increase.

BLCKSIZE
Performance monitoring block size.
Defines the number of cells in a PM block. Can be selected up to 32Kbytes in multiples
of 128 bytes, where the actual block size equals BLCKSIZE*128.
A new FMC is inserted after a PM block of data cells has been sent since the last FMC.

TCC
Transmit cell counter. Used internally to count data cells sent. When this counter
terminates reaches zero, an FMC is sent and the counter is reinitialized by the CP to the
block size.

HEADER
PM cell header. Holds the ATM cell header of the FMC, BRC to be inserted by the CP
into the transmitted FMC.
Program the cell header to indicate the required OAM function (such as F4/F5,
segment/end-to-end).
