3.7 Enable Privilege Screen
Each Web Configurator screen requires a privilege level to access.
• Privilege level 1 access is read-only.
• Privilege level 8 access lets you view most screens and configure general features.
• Privilege level 14 access lets you view all the screens and configure all settings including creating
administrator accounts, restarting the system, and resetting the factory defaults.
When the system uses a server to authenticate administrator logins, you automatically
have the lowest privilege level (1) when you log into the Web Configurator.
When the system uses its local database to authenticate administrator logins, you automatically
have your account’s assigned privilege level when you log into the Web Configurator.
In either case you can use the
Enable Privilege
screen to change your privilege level for your
current Web Configurator session. Click
Enable
at the top of the
Home
(
System Info
) screen to
open the
Enable Privilege
screen.
