Chapter 18 Commands

Management Switch Card User’s Guide

645

Do not turn off your MSC while saving your configuration.

This command saves all system configurations to nonvolatile memory. You must use this command
to save any configuration changes that you make, otherwise the MSC returns to its last saved
settings when it is restarted. Save your changes after each configuration session.

Nonvolatile memory refers to the MSC’s storage that remains even if the MSC’s power is turned off.
Configuration changes saved in the volatile (run time) memory are lost when the MSC is turned off.
