Pump Mounting Plate Tightening Sequence

Refit the fuel tank (see Fuel Tank - Installation).
Reconnect the battery, positive (red) lead first.
Start the engine and check carefully for fuel leaks. Rectify as necessary.
Refit the rider's seat (see Rider’s Seat - Installation).

Fuel Level Sender Assembly - Removal

Remove the rider’s seat (see Rider’s Seat - Removal).
Disconnect the battery, negative (black) lead first.
Remove the fuel pump and filter assembly (see Fuel Pump and Filter Assembly - Removal).
Release the locking device and slide the bottom of the level sender to the fuel tank opening. Withdraw from
the tank and allow any remaining fuel to drain into a suitable container.

Insert a small screwdriver into one of the tabs at the top of the float assembly and gently prise the lid free.
