3.17 CD-ROM/DVD-ROM Test
To execute the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM test, select

from the DIAGNOSTICS TEST MENU,
press
Enter
and follow the directions on the screen.
NOTE: For the subtest 01, 02 and 03, use the TOSHIBA CD-ROM TEST DISK TDY-01 or
ABEX TEST CD-ROM TCDR-702 and DVD-ROM TEST DISK TSD-1.
Subtest 01 Sequential read
This subtest is a sequential reading of one-block units (2K bytes) of all the
logical addresses.
Subtest 02 Sequential read (CD)
This subtest is a sequential reading of all the logical addresses.
Subtest 03 Sequential read (DVD)
This subtest is a sequential reading of all the logical addresses.
NOTE: It is the way of making the test data of the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM test for 2 of sub
test, 3.
A data-organization tool, "FMAKE.EXE ", is added to the T&D test media of CD
or FD.
The manner of use starts up a prompt from the accessories of Windows XP or
Vista and executes. it with the DOS window.
Because a result, an about 5 GB test data are created, using the tool of the
various Windows, it makes the test media of the CD or the DVD be complete.
CDDTEST0.DAT.....
It writes only this dater in one sheet of CD-R, CD-RW.
DVDTEST1.DAT.....
It writes all of the daters from 1 to 5 in one sheet of DVD-R, DVD-RW
DVDTEST2.DAT.......................
DVDTEST3.DAT.....
DVDTEST4.DAT.....
DVDTEST5.DAT.....
When starting up this tool, the hard disk needs equal to or more than 5 GB room.
