Cables

The following sections provide information about the different interface cables.
When ordering cables, keep this in mind:

•

Riser cables

can be used in computer rooms and are not classified

according to flammability or toxic gas emissions.

•

Plenum cables

are designed for installation in air ducts and manufactured

to meet UL standards for flammability and produce little smoke.

Ethernet Cables

The library uses Ethernet cables for TCP/IP connections, which include host
and library-to-library communications.
