Cleaning the printing heads using the cleaning kit

Never use gasoline, alcohol, thinner, or any other flammable materials.
!! IMPORTANT !!
- When you dispose of the discharged ink, make sure to go to [MENU] > [SUB MENU] > [MAINTENANCE]
> [DRAIN BOTTLE] and press the [ENTER] key to reset the discharged-ink count. Otherwise, "CHECK
DRAIN BOTTLE" message will appear at the inapproptiate timing.
- Never place discarged fluid near open flame, in the location where high temperature may occur, near
bleach or any other such oxidizing agent or explosive material.
- To store discharged fluid temporarily, place it in the included drain bottle or in a durable sealed container
such as a metal can or polyethylene tank, and cap tightly.
- Dispose of discharged fluid properly, in accordance with the laws in effect in your locate.
Maintenance
Do not perform the powerful cleaning more than necessary. It consumes lots of ink.
Explain following items in reference to the User's Manual.
Disposing of discharged ink
The message [CHECK DRAIN BOTTLE] appears when a certain amount of discharged ink collects in the
bottle.
Replacing the Maintenance Liquid Cartridge
Cleaning other parts
- Platen
- Grit rollers
- Pinch rollers
- Reflective tape
When you replace the Maintenance Liquid Cartridge, make sure to go to [MENU] > [SUB MENU] > [MAIN-
TENANCE] > [MAINTE. LIQUID] and press the [ENTER] key to reset the count of the maintenance liquid
consumption. Otherwise, "MAINTENANCE LIQUID LOW" message will appear at the inappropriate timing.
