Showing Network Connections
This command syntax displays network connections and/or status of
ports.
diag>
netstat <option>
Variables:
<option> is one of the options:
ports
or
connections
.
Option
Description
ports
Shows TCP/UDP ports.
connections Shows
network
connections.
Testing the Network Connectivity
This ping command sends the ICMP ECHO_REQUEST message to a
network host for checking its network connectivity. If the output shows
the host is responding properly, the network connectivity is good. If not,
either the host is shut down or it is not being properly connected to the
network.
diag>
ping <host>
Variables:
<host> is the host name or IP address whose networking
connectivity you want to check.
Options:
You can include any or all of additional options listed below in the
ping command.

Description
count <number1>
Determines the number of messages to be
sent. <number1> is an integer number
between 1 and 100.
size <number2>
Determines the packet size. <number2> is
an integer number in bytes between 1 and
65468.
