Replacement Procedures
Paper Out Switch
(Figure 6–21)
Removal
1. Disconnect the AC power cord from the rear of the printer. Open the top
cover. Remove paper. Open the rear door of the printer.
2. Disconnect connector P41 (1). Cut cable ties as necessary to free the
cable assembly (2).
3. Disconnect the platen open switch leads as described on page 6–68.
4. Remove two screws (3).
5. Rotate the lower end of the switch assembly (4) and remove it from the
front of the belt cover (5).
Installation
1. Slip the switch assembly into position through the front of the belt cover.
2. Install two screws.
3. Connect the platen open switch leads as described on page 6–68.
4. Connect connector P41.
5. Gather and retie the cable assembly as necessary.
6. Connect the AC power cord and close the top cover. Check operation and
adjust per paragraph 5–16 if necessary.
7. Check the operation of the paper out switch. If necessary, adjust the
switch as described on page 5–32 of Chapter 5, Alignments and
Adjustments.
