Port Data
Use the Port Setup section of the worksheet to record information needed to
configure each of the active ports on the BV1250-AP/FXS unit.
If a port on the BV1250-AP/FXS unit is not used, this should be
indicated and, in the Maintenance Console Software, the Clear
button should be used to remove all default settings. Also, the port
should not be configured as a member of a Terminal Hunt Group.
Port # (TERM)
The Port # field indicates the port to be configured, e.g. ports 1 to 4. To the
right of each port are fields for the port’s setup parameters. Provide
information for each of the unit’s active ports.
Ext. No. (TERM)
Use the Extension No. field to record the extension number to be
associated with the port (e.g. a 1 to 8 digit number). See Appendix C:
for a discussion of the network numbering plan.
There is no default value for this field.
In the example, the port extensions are configured as:
Port 1 = 1
Port 2 = 2
Port 3 = 3
Port 4 = 4
DP/DTMF (TERM)
Use the DP/DTMF field to record the dialing method to be used for
the port, e.g. DP = Pulse, DTMF (default) = Tone.
Restriction (TERM)
This field is not used for the current version of the BV1250.
