Line Interface Board
Use the Line Interface Board field to record the type of line interface
board to be installed in the base unit. Types include AP/FXS, E&M,
E&M-OD, and FXO.
Line interface board installation procedures are discussed in Section
4.3 of this document.
Port Configuration
Use the Port Configuration field to record the configuration
parameters for the ports on all E&M equipped BV1250 units in the
network. Possible configuration include:

Type-1/2-Wire
•
Type-1/4-Wire
•
Type-2/2-Wire
•
Type-2/4-Wire
This configuration is determined by the characteristics of the PBX to
which a BV1250 unit will be connected. Refer to the PBX
specifications for E&M interface requirements for each unit to
determine the proper configuration.
Cable preparation and installation are discussed in Section 4.5 of this
document.
Mounting
Use the Mounting field to record for each network unit, whether the
unit is to be desktop mounted or rack mounted.
Desktop and rack mounting procedures are discussed in Section 4.4 of
this document.
