Unit Information Setup Wizard 2 of 5

Use the Setup Wizard screen 2 to enter the unit’s IP addressing information.
The IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway 1 IP address fields are
required.

Be careful to insure that all IP addressing information is correctly entered.
Errors in entering this data can produce problems that are difficult to
diagnose later in the installation process.

1.

 

Select the 

IP Address

 field and enter the IP Address for the unit.

2.

 

Select the

 Subnet Mask

 field and enter the Subnet Mask IP address.

3.

 

Select the 

Gateway Address 1

 field and enter the address of the

primary Gateway to which the unit is connected. This is usually the IP
address of a router or similar network device.

4.

 

If a secondary (e.g. backup) Gateway device is used in association with
the unit, enter the 

Gateway Address 2 

IP address.

5.

 

Click on the Next button when finished entering information or click
on the 

Cancel

 button to exit the Wizard and lose all changes.

If an IP address that is not allowed is entered, the MCS will issue an error
message so that the value can be corrected.
