Interface Timing (FXO units)
Use the Interface Timing folder to configure timing parameters used in the
FXO unit’s connection with the PSTN.
In most cases the default timing settings for the FXO to PSTN interface will
provide a suitable connection, some PSTN connection parameters may
require different values to assure proper operation.
It is recommended that the default parameters be used unless it is
determined that they must be modified in order to optimize the FXO-
PSTN interface.
The timing parameters that can be adjusted include Dial Tone (DT), Busy
Tone (BT), Forced Disconnect, Auto Drop Time, and PSTN Response time.
Tone Detection Parameters
Use the Tone Detection fields to enter dial tone timing parameters for the
FXO unit. Parameters are entered for dial tone detection, disconnection, and
busy tone.
