5.9.1 Configure Gateway Units (IVGs)
The Maintenance Console Software display uses a set of tabbed folders to
organize the unit configuration process. Each of these folders contains
fields in which configuration data are entered.
The data to be entered should have already been identified and recorded on
a Unit Setup Worksheet for the unit being configured. Field definitions and
parameter descriptions are provided in Section 3.2 of this document.
Much of the data recorded during the unit configuration process is critical
to the proper operation of the equipment and care must be taken to avoid
errors.
Edit Data configuration tabs displayed by the MCS differ based on
the unit Type selected during the unit creation process. These
differences are reflected in the Unit Setup Worksheets
In the following section, the unit Types to which a tab applies is
noted in the section head as: ALL Units, AP/FXS Units, E&M Units,
or FXO Units.
Sample data sources used in the following section are:
All Units: Sample network, Unit 5
E&M Units: Sample network, Unit 1
FXO Units: Sample network, Unit 6
