W = : Write to this register is accepted in all but PWM output mode.
Note: This register must always be accessed in halfwords.
The TOD0 Counter is a 16-bit down-counter. After the timer is enabled (by writing to the enable bit
in software), it starts counting synchronously with the count clock. During PWM output mode, this
counter is disabled against write.
