Timestamp Format
The unit supports two different formats for the encoding of timestamps within the
TWAMP messages. This is controlled globally, and can only be changed from the
Advance Mode user interface. For strict compliance with RFC5357, the
NTP
(TWAMP)
option should be selected. Where the peer is a Metrodata product running
software version 9.37 or older, the
PTP (Y.1731)
option should be selected. For
Metrodata peers running newer software, either option may be used, but the same
selection must be made on both units. The
NTP (TWAMP)
option is selected by
default.
