7. Working from the front of the cylinder block,
repeat steps 1 through 6 to install the front
bushing.
8. Bushings must be installed to the depths
described in Figure 144.
The front auxiliary shaft bushing must be flush or
recessed within 0.030 inch (0.763 mm) of the
machined front surface of the cylinder block.
Incorrect recess will cause misalignment of the oil
supply hole, resulting in insufficient lubrication of
the journal. Also, any bushing protrusion will allow
the thrust washer to seat on the bushing and
result in the thrust washer mounting screws
coming loose.

9. Install the thrust washer and tighten the
retaining screws to the specified torque,
15 lb-ft (20 N•m).
