5.10.1 Maintaining Fuel Filters
The windrower’s fuel system is equipped with primary (A)
and secondary (B) screw-on cartridge type
fi
lters. The
primary
fi
lter (A) is equipped with a separator that
separates sediment and water from the fuel.

Removing Primary Fuel Filter
DANGER
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected startup of the machine, always stop the engine and remove
the key from the ignition before leaving the operator’s seat for any reason.
1. Shut down the engine and remove the key.
2. Open the hood Refer to
3. Locate the primary fuel
fi
lter (A) on the right
cab-forward side of the windrower.
NOTE:

4. Clean around the primary
fi
lter (A) head.
5. Disconnect the water in fuel (WIF) sensor (B) from
bottom of
fi
lter.
6. Turn drain valve (C) by hand counterclockwise until
draining occurs, and drain
fi
lter into a container.
7. Remove
fi
lter (A) with a
fi
lter wrench.
8. Clean gasket mating surface.
