3. Clean around the

lter head (A) and remove

lter.
NOTE:
Check that gasket is removed from

lter head.
4. Clean gasket mating surface.
5. Apply a thin
fi
lm of clean oil to the gasket on the new
fi
lter. Refer to
5.1.4 Filter Part Numbers, page 237
for
recommended oil
fi
lter to use.
6. Screw the new
fi
lter onto the
fi
lter mount until the
gasket contacts the
fi
lter head.
7. Tighten the
fi
lter an additional 1/2 to 3/4 turn by hand.
IMPORTANT:
Do
NOT
use a
fi
lter wrench to install the oil
fi
lter.
Overtightening can damage the gasket and
fi
lter.
8. Properly dispose of used oil
fi
lter.

the key from the ignition before leaving the operator’s seat for any reason.
1. Shut down the engine and remove the key. Wait about

ller cap (A) and remove by turning it
counterclockwise.
4. Carefully pour in 14 liters (14.8 qts. U.S.) of new oil.

cations.

ll above the HIGH mark.
5. Replace oil
