Control Description
Search Operation
To focus the search for an IP static route, enter search parameters:

Route Type
•
Route Tag
•
Routes for a Destination IP
•
Routes to a Gateway IP
•
Route for an IP Interface
Fields that have a value of “any” are ignored during the search.
Choose a search operation:
•
or:
Search for network routes specified in the Search range that meet any of the
criteria entered.
•
and:
Search for network routes specified in the Search range that meet all of the
criteria entered.
Click
Search
to display network routes that fit the range and meet the criteria entered.
Entry #
Displays the entry number for each route.
Destination
Displays the destination IP address fore the IP route.
Mask
Displays the subnet mask for the IP route.
Gateway
Displays the IP address of the gateway associated with the IP route.
Type
Displays the IP route type. See the IP Routing Type information table for more detail.
Tag
Displays the IP route tag. See the IP Routing Tag information table for more detail.
Metric
Displays the value of the IP route metric.
IF
Displays the interface number associated with the IP route.

IP Routing Type information
Field Description
indirect
The next hop to the host or subnet destination will be forwarded through a router at
the Gateway address.
direct
Packets will be delivered to a destination host or subnet attached to the switch.
local
Indicates a route to one of the switch’s IP interfaces.
broadcast
Indicates a broadcast route.
martian
The destination belongs to a host or subnet which is filtered out. Packets to this
destination are discarded.
multicast
Indicates a multicast route.
