Titan SiliconServer
Titan’s Daily Status Email is sent to all recipients in all mail profiles in which the
Send a Daily
Status Email at midnight
option has been selected.
SMU’s Daily Status Email
SMU's
Daily Status Email contains a list of the SMU's managed servers and their current
firmware versions. It also contains the SMU's current software version. The SMU server names
as well as the Silicon Server names are links that can be ‘clicked’ to manage the specified server.
The email also provides the ID, Model, Type (single node, cluster, etc.), and Status information
on Silicon Servers.
SMU Diagnostics Emails
The SMU will send all of its configured email recipients a diagnostic email when any of the
following events occur:
❑
The SiliconServer has unexpectedly reset.
❑
When a high number of bad blocks have been identified on any FC-14 or SA-14
RAID Rack in the storage subsystem.
❑
If enabled, once per day at a specified time.
These diagnostic emails contain details on the servers and storage managed by the SMU. As the
details in these diagnostic mails can be useful to BlueArc Global Services should their
assistance be required, it is strongly advised to include [email protected] as one of the email
recipients.
It is also recommended to enable
Monthly BlueArc Emails
. When enabled, a full set of server,
SMU, and storage diagnostics are emailed to BlueArc on the first of every month. These provide
an archive of the complete configuration of the storage system, which can aid in the detection of
problems, provide a wealth of information to BlueArc Global Services should a problem occur,
and, if necessary, the restoration of a known good configuration should it be required.
