Titan SiliconServer
Time Zone
Select a time zone from the list. For guidance on which zone to select, see
http://www.worldtimeserver.com/
.
Daylight Savings
Select whether or not to adjust the server clock automatically when daylight
saving time changes.
Note: Never try to compensate for daylight saving by changing
the time zone or the time.
Set Time at Boot
NTP is used to align Titan’s time with the configured time server gradually.
However, if the time is off by more than 15 minutes, NTP updates will not
register. If Set Time at Boot is enabled, the time is synchronized with the
configured NTP servers when the NTP service starts, typically when the
server is rebooted. The NTP service can also be restarted through the CLI. If
this option is enabled when the NTP service starts, then the time is set
immediately, not gradually, and without regard for the current time offset.
NTP Server
To synchronize the server time with one or more NTP servers on the network,
enter the IP address of the NTP server. The system will then qualify and
compare all the NTP servers and use the results to set the most accurate
time.
Note: If the server is setup on the private management
network, the SMU’s eth1 IP address should be added to the list
of NTP servers.
