Titan SiliconServer
IP Network Setup
Titan SiliconServer IP addresses are assigned to various interfaces and used for the following
purpose:
•
File services
(CIFS, NFS, FTP, and iSCSI). IP addresses used to access file services using
GE aggregations are assigned to an
Enterprise Virtual Server (EVS).
Each EVS can have
multiple IP addresses assigned to the same GE interface.
•
Server administration
. Typically, the 10/100 management port is assigned an IP
address on the private management network. However, in order to access Titan on the
public network using telnet or SSC, an
Admin Services
IP address must be assigned to
one or more of the GE interfaces.
•
Clustering
. When Titan is configured in a cluster, the 10/100 management port on each
Cluster Node is assigned an IP address on the private management network for
communications between the Cluster Nodes and the QD.
