To Add a Virtual Volume
From the
Storage Management
page, click
Virtual Volumes & Quotas.
Then, click
add
.
The following table describes the fields on this screen:

EVS/File System
The
EVS
and the file system to which to add this
Virtual Volume
. If the
Virtual Volume is to be added to a different EVS/File System, click
change... and select the EVS/File System required.
Virtual Volume
Name
The name may consist of up to 128 characters. The following
characters are not supported:
?*=+[];:/,<>\|
Create a CIFS Share
or NFS Export with
the same name as
the Virtual Volume
To access the Virtual Volume through CIFS or NFS, it may be convenient
to have a share or export with the same name as the Virtual Volume.
Ticking this checkbox will ensure such a share or export, if it does not
exist, is created.
Note: The CIFS Share or NFS Export name may not exceed
80 characters.
