Using Silicon File Systems
System Administration Manual
161
Current EVS
The
EVS
to which the File System is assigned. If the file system is not
currently assigned to an EVS, a list of EVS will appear to which the file
system can be assigned.
Status
Indicates whether the EVS is online or offline.
Security
Displays the
file system security
policy defined for the file system.
Formatted Capacity
The total amount of formatted space (free + used space)
Free Space
The total amount of free space (GB)
Total Used Space
The total amount of used space: GB (%): live File System and
snapshots
.
Block Size
The file system block size. 32 KB or 4 KB, as defined when the file
system was formatted.
Auto-Expansion
Enable or Disable Auto-Expansion. If Auto-Expansion is enabled, a limit
can be defined to constrain the growth allowed by Auto-Expansion.
Usage Alerts
Refer to
Controlling File System Usage
.
Current
Displays the currently used capacity as a percentage of the total
capacity.
Warning
Specifies the warning threshold as a percentage of the total capacity.
When the file system utilization crosses this threshold, Titan records
an Information event in the
event log
.
For example, if the capacity is set to 4 TB and the warning threshold
to 75%, the system records a Warning alert in the event log when 3 TB
of the file system has been used.
Severe
Specifies the severe threshold as a percentage of the total capacity.
When the file system utilization crosses this threshold, Titan records a
Warning event in the
event log
.
Do not expand
above Severe limit
When selected, it prevents the live File System from growing beyond
the severe threshold. This effectively reserves the remaining space for
use by
snapshots
.
