3.
Check that the NVRAM status LED on the FSB module is off. The server is now fully
shutdown.
4.
If the NVRAM status LED is on (either green or amber), then remove both PSU modules
simultaneously for at least 10 seconds and replace.
Note:
If the Titan SiliconServer fails to shutdown properly or to verify that
the NVRAM has not entered the battery powered back up state when the
PSUs are switched off, verify that both PSU modules are removed (refer to
step 4).
Shutting Down / Restarting the SMU
If it is necessary to shutdown or restart the SMU, this screen provides three options. From the
SMU Administration
page, click
SMU Reset / Shutdown
.
The
Restart
button will restart the SMU
application
software, but not the SMU server. After the
application has started up, the application will return to the login page.
The
Reboot
button will restart the SMU application and the server. It will close down all
processes on the server and all connections from other hosts. When it has rebooted, which may
take up to five minutes, the browser will return to the login page.
The
Shutdown
button will shutdown everything running on the SMU server, close all
connections, and bring the SMU server to a state in which it may safely be powered down.
In all cases, the SiliconServer(s) listed as
Managed Servers
will continue to function as normal.
