Chapter 4: Management with ASUS Storage Management 

 

 

 

To create a LUN clone of a logical drive: 

1.  Click the Subsystem icon in Tree view. 

2.  Click the Logical Drives Summary icon. 

3.  Click the Logical Drive icon. 

4.  Click the 

LUN Clone 

tab in Management View. 

5.  From the 

RAID Level 

dropdown menu, choose the RAID level for the LUN 

clone. 

6.  From the 

Copy Numbers 

dropdown menu to the right of the Storage Pool 

(disk array) you want to use, choose the number of LUN clones you want to 
create. 

You can create up to 8 clones of a LUN at a time. 

7.  Click the 

Submit 

button. 

8.  In the confirmation box, type the word 

confirm 

in the field provided and click 

the 

OK 

button. 

 

Note the 

Target Logical Drive ID

. Use this number to identify the LUN clone in 

the Logical Drive list. See 

―Viewing Information for All Logical Drives‖ on 

page 163.
