The scale factor will be sent as 1 on configuration frame 2, and 0.15 on configuration
frame 3. The range of analog values that can be transmitted in this case is
-0.15

Technical data
RES670 is compliant with the synchrophasor measurement requirements of IEEE
C37.118.1-2011, including the amendment (IEEE C37.118.1a-2014) for both P and M
performance classes. RES670 is also compliant with synchrophasor data transfer
requirements of IEEE C37.118.2-2011. There are two types of internal current
transformer cores in RES670, protection and measuring cores. Using the measuring cores,
RES670 is compliant with all the synchrophasor measurement requirements. If using the
protection core, for the “signal magnitude-current” steady state test (mentioned in Table
3 of IEEE C37.118.1-2011 standard), the compliancy to the standard is limited to the
current range between 50% and 200% of rated current for both P and M classes of the
standard. The reason is that protection cores are not designed for accurate measurements
on low current levels.
The compliancy to IEEE C37.118.1-2011 standard (including IEEE C37.118.1a-2014) is
limited to the reporting rates up to 60 frames per second which is required by the standard.
This means 10, 25, and 50 frames per second for 50 Hz system frequency and 10, 12, 15,
20, 30, and 60 frames per second for 60 Hz system frequency.
