GL-10x0 Administrator’s Guide

Press

SYSTEM

UPDATE

to display the System Update menu.

System Update Menu

Insert the

e-STUDIO Recovery CD-ROM

into the controller CD drive

and then press

UPDATE

. The touch screen displays the OS Update

Version screen.

Confirm that the

Current OS

and

New OS

versions are correct.

Press

to continue.

A message is displayed, prompting you to confirm that you want to

reboot the controller.

Press

YES

to continue with the update. The existing system settings

are backed up and then the controller reboots to CD-ROM mode. The

touch screen displays the OS Update Version screen. Note that the

controller is now offline.
If the touch screen does not display the OS Update Version screen,

the controller did not boot off the CD successfully.

10 Press

to continue. The controller begins copying the software from

the CD to the hard drive. This process takes approximately seven

minutes, during which time the touch screen displays the OS Update

Progress screen.

11 When the system update process completes, the CD-ROM is ejected

and the touch screen displays the message

Press the START key

to start controller

12 Remove the CD-ROM from the drive and press the

START

button. You

must

remove the CD-ROM before the controller can boot up.

13 After boot up, an initialization process begins. This takes

approximately 10 minutes. During that time, the touch screen
