Add

to open the Upload Font to Controller page.

Type the file name into the

Font File

text box or click

Browse

to browse

for the file.

The font name length for PCL fonts is limited to 16 characters

(additional characters will not be displayed).

The font name length for PostScript fonts is 40 characters

(additional characters will not be displayed).

After you select the file name, click

Upload

to upload the file onto the

controller or click

Cancel

to terminate the function.

10 To remove a font from the font list, select the font and then click

Remove

11 Click

Save

to save the font information.

How to install and use a font on GL-10x0

This example uses the carolina.ttf font file. Replace this with a font of

your choice.

Convert the TTF file to a print file OR use TopAccess (recommended)

to upload the font file.
If you want to convert the TTF file to a print file (PRN), use the utility

ttf2hpf

provided on the PCL Font Download Utilities CD as follows.

Convert the TTF file to PRN (Unix or DOS):

ttf2hpf carolina.ttf

Send the print file to the controller:

lpr -P <print queue> carolina.prn

copy carolina.prn \\<controller name>\dssc /b

Edit the PCL5 job to select the font. The following is a sample PCL file

listed here for explanation purposes.

Note: <ESC> represents the Escape character.
