Administrator’s Guide
Getting Started
There are five major tasks required to configure TopAccess to meet your
unique needs:
1
Set up the administrative functions, such as password, contact
information, messages, department codes, and preferences.
2 Set up the copier and printer functions.
3 Configure network protocols and set up e-mail.
4 Set up scan agents and templates.
5 Upload client software to the controller so your users can install it on
their workstations.
The following topics explain administrative tasks to set up the system.
Setting the Administrator Password
1 Log in as an administrator.
2 Click the
Administration
tab.
3 Click the
Device
subtab. The Device page opens.
4 In the Properties area, enter a five-digit administrator password for
the controller in the Administrator Password field. TopAccess requires
this password for you to log in as an administrator.
5 To enter a new password, type the new password over the old
password.
6 Click
Save
.
Setting the Default Start Page
1 Click the
Preferences
tab. The Preferences page opens.
2 Click the
Start Page
drop-down arrow and select the start page.
3 Click
Save
.
4 You can click
Reset
if you have not saved your changes. This refreshes
and restores the settings to their original states.
Setting the Default Admin Login Timeout Period
1 Log in as an administrator.
2 Click the
Preferences
tab.
