3.1.2.8. IP-server
IP-server
is intended for connecting several analog cameras simultaneously
(restriction on number of cameras, connected simultaneously, depend on
modification of specific device) and transmitting image from cameras via network
using TCP/IP protocol.
You can add
IP-server
into the system configuration using the
Add device wizard
(see
3.1.2.2
section). During
IP-server
adding the
Add device wizard
will
automatically detect that this device is IP-server.
During adding
IP-server
cannot be detected by means of
automatic
device search.
In the device tree
IP-server
doesn’t require to be connected
to any of video capture devices and is displayed (when
viewed
by types
and
by connections
):
• as
IP-server
in
IP-devices
section.
IP-server
has several video inputs, to which analog
cameras can be connected (the number of video inputs
depends on IP-server modification).
After adding
IP-server
into the system configuration it is
necessary to configure its properties (see the algorithm of
3.1.2.4
section). You
can set up
IP-server
properties on
General
and
Connection
tabs. Configuring
IP-
server
parameters on the
General
tab is similar to configuring parameters for
CCTV camera
(refer to
3.1.2.6
section). Configuring
IP-server
parameters on the
Connection
tab is similar to configuring parameters for
IP-camera
(refer to
3.1.2.7
section).
3.1.2.9. Cameras controlling device
Cameras controlling device
(hereafter referred to as
matrix switcher
) allows to
control several Pan Tilt cameras simultaneously.
Matrix switcher
uses only one
COM-port at connecting (number of cameras, available for connecting to matrix
switcher depends on its modification).
You can add
matrix switcher
into the system configuration using the
Add device
wizard
(see
3.1.2.2
section). During adding
matrix switcher
cannot be detected
by means of
automatic
device search.
For correct system operation
cameras controlling device (matrix switcher)
must be
already connected to COM-port of your or another computer in the network. Also it
is necessary to connect Pan Tilt cameras to
matrix switcher
video inputs and to
video inputs of a video capture device. In more details connection of matrix switcher
is described in the
Installation manual
.
It is necessary to add the mentioned devices into system configuration and to specify
correctly the way of their connection to each other.
Attention!
Do not connect simultaneously other external devices to the COM-
port, to which a
matrix switcher
is connected.
After adding
matrix switcher
into the system configuration it is necessary to
configure its properties (see the algorithm of
3.1.2.4
section). You can set up
matrix switcher
properties on
General
and
Connection
tabs. Configuring devices
