To configure system behaviour in response to certain events it is necessary to define
reactions to these events. The system regards as an event signal from sensors,
motion detected, exceed of audio signal volume, restoring or loss of network
connection, operator’s command, event in an external system etc. In response to any
of these events the system can display an alarm message, give audio signal, start
video/audio recording, start patrol program, send e-mail etc.
!
VideoNet
system enables you to add
tasks
to system configuration. Tasks contain
events
and
reactions
, determined for these events. In fact, when you create events
and reactions, you “forecast” occurrence of definite
events
and determine, how
the system will react to these events.
Scheduler
page is intended for system
schedule “programming”. Ability to configure schedule correctly is a key to
understanding principles of the whole system operation.
3.7.1. Scheduler. Introduction
System schedule represents a
task tree
. Each task contain the
events
, which can
occur, and the
reactions
, which will follow on in response to them.

System schedule tasks, events, reactions
For example, if the system has detected motion by a camera, video recording from
this camera must be started. According to this requirement the first task in the
picture
3.7.1.-1
contains «motion detected»
event
and «recording by recording
function»
reaction
. Events of the same
task
are put in the
Events
folder and
reactions — in the
Reactions f
older
.
Besides, it is necessary, that in case of network connection loss with computer,
the system will display alarm message and close relay output. According to this
the second task in the picture
3.7.1.-1
is configured: the «network connection
loss»
event
and the «close relay»
reaction
are added.
Necessity of creating two tasks is obvious in this case: on the occurrence of every
event the system must differently react to each of them.
Moreover,
VideoNet
system enables you to impose conditions on «occurrence»
of
events
and activation of
reactions
.
For example, if the system must detect motion only in predefined time interval, and
send notification to remote computers, only if there is network connection with it.
According to this the task in the picture
3.7.1.-2
is configured: the «motion detected»
event
and the «time interval»
condition
for it are added. The «notification of the
remote computers»
reaction
and the «network connection presence»
condition
for it are added.
