• Setup of access to Panasonic WV-CU550 cj system controller and authorization
in the system
The system enables both to restrict users access to system controller and to lift restrictions
for system users on working with it. Selection of one or another way of working with
system controller depends on the number of users, working with the system, and the tasks,
which they have.
• If you want to simplify the user’s logon to the system and his work with system
controller:
1. Add a user with the special digital format of
name
and
password
into system configuration
(adding users is described in
3.6.2.1
section). It is obligatory for making authorization
from system controller possible. For working with
Panasonic WV-CU550cj
system
controller it is necessary to add a user with a two-digit
name
(for example, «01») and
five-digit
password
(for example, «12345»). Then you should assign to him a right of
controlling the system using system controller.
User name and password format depends on a
system controller
model (refer to a
corresponding device manual).
2. Select the
Automatic logon
to VideoNet system for the user (this
security parameter
and its setup for user are described in
3.6.2.4
section).

Attention!
By default,
all
users of the
VideoNet
system have unlimited
access to all the devices, added to configuration.
In
3.6.3
section detailed examples of configuring system policies and access
to devices are given.

If the policy of viewing of inaccessible elements is not assigned to a user, who has
no right to translate video/audio from camera/microphone (see
3.6.2.3
section), this
camera/microphone won’t be in the list of sources. If the policy of viewing of
inaccessible elements is not assigned to a user, who has no right to play back
records by camera/microphone, this source won’t be in the player in the list of
sources for playback.
Attention!
In the VideoNet system there are 4 user priorities for configuring
rights for controlling Pan Tilt cameras. In more detail configuring user priorities
is described in
3.6.2.1
section.
This policy enables users or groups to add/remove
presets
and
patrol programs
on the
Pan Tilt
panel. If user has right to
set up controller, but has no right to control it, he can only change
names of created presets.
If a user has no right to set up this Pan Tilt controller, then at
switching to the
Pan Tilt
panel all the buttons of the panel will be
unavailable. Thus the user won’t be able to set up this Pan Tilt
controller.
This policy enables users or groups to control
VideoNet
system
using
system controller
.
If a user has right to control the system using
system controller
,
he can control Pan Tilt device, switch between monitor modes,
call
Pan Tilt presets
and
start patrol programs
.

It is strongly recommended to get acquainted with

subsection before configuring access to this device.
