3.3.2.2. Configuring spot-channel

Spot-channel

 enables to display image from required sources on certain 

monitors

to 

video windows

 of a 

temporary  mode

 or to video windows of 

modes

, which

already exist in configuration.

In  case  of  a 

temporary  mode

  the  system  creates  a  monitor  mode,  in  which

automatically  adds  the  number  of 

video  windows

,  required  for  arranging  all

selected  sources.  Number  of  created  windows  in  a 

temporary  mode 

of  each

window  doesn’t  exceed  a  specified  maximum  value.  If  number  of  selected  for

arranging cameras exceeds number of 

video windows

 on 

spot-channel

 monitors,

the system creates several pages for each monitor, optimally arranging selected

sources on them. With that, switching between pages will take place according to

pages switching period

, set up in 

spot-channel 

properties.

Besides,  in 

spot-channel 

properties  it  is  necessary  to  specify  the  time,  during

which image will be translated from each of the selected cameras (

source lifetime

).

After translation time of all arranged sources is out, the system switches to the

previous for each of the monitors 

mode

.

Configuring 

spot-channel

, you group together several 

monitors

 and specify 

modes

for each of them. In windows of these 

modes 

the system will automatically arrange

selected cameras according to system schedule or to operator’s command (you

can set up list of cameras to arrange is set up in the properties of 

“Monitors modes

and windows controlling”

To configure spot-channel:

1. Select spot-channel from the list of monitors on the 

Monitors 

tab.

2. Click 

Properties

 button on the Toolbar.

 of the system in the same way.

As already mentioned above, 

VideoNet

 system allows to configure spot-channel.
