To perform translation, recording and playback of video and audio by camera or
microphone, to detect motion, to control relay outputs, alarm sensors, and Pan Tilt,
it is necessary to add corresponding devices into the system configuration.
!
VideoNet
system is capable of taking control over external devices connection,
their subsequent setup and parameters configuring. You can perform standard
procedures of adding, removing, connecting, switching, and device parameters
configuring. You can connect different kinds of devices to the
VideoNet
system. In
the
VideoNet
system there is
Devices
page, which is intended for working with
devices.
Device tree
Devices in VideoNet system form a tree by their
interaction structure. The
Device tree
in the
Devices
configuration window (on the panel) (see the picture
on the right) can be represented in two ways:
•devices are grouped
by types
(not reflecting the
structure of connection, but the device type);
•devices are grouped
by connections
(reflecting
devices connection to each other).
The
device tree
contains also a folder
Not
connected
, it contains
cameras, microphones,
videoswitches and Pan Tilt controllers
, which are not
connected.
In the
device tree
it is possible to perform the
following actions:
•add devices;
•remove devices;
•connect devices;
•reconnect a device;
•disconnect devices;
•configure properties of devices.
These commands for working with devices are available through the menu and
the toolbar and also through the context menu.
Attention!
It is very important to understand that until you have added a device into
your configuration and have specified, to which device it should be connected,
VideoNet
system will know nothing about this device!
