4.2.3. Translating video via network. Controlling quality
During translation via network you can control video information quality in video
window .
To start translating video from camera via network:
1. Open source selection menu .
2. Click button and open

ETWORK
folder..
3. Select a remote computer, to which needed camera is connected, in the list of
remote computers.
4. Select camera, from which you want to translate video, by left-clicking it in the
list. After camera selection and before receiving signal from it there can appear
«Waiting» inscription on video window.
5. Video translating from selected camera starts in video window . During that,
name of translated camera will appear in video window top-left corner.
Attention! If after camera selection, «No signal» inscription appears on video
window , then most likely there is no video signal, because this camera is switched
off or connection cable is defective. Refer to system administrator.
If after camera selection, «Error» inscription appears on video window ,
then most likely the error occurred because of incorrect devices setup. Above
the inscription there is usually the reason of error, for example «Error at
frame capturing» . Refer to system administrator.
If after camera selection, «No connection» inscription appears on video
window , then most likely there is no network connection with selected computer.
Try to restore network connection with the computer and pass through the
steps of the algorithm once more.
If after camera selection, «Error» inscription appears on video window and
above it there is the following reason: «Refusals audit» , then most likely you
have no right to translate video by this camera. Refer to system administrator.
6. Regulate network translation quality. To do that, click control button on
video window .
7. There appears
quality regulator
, using which you can regulate quality of
image, translated from remote computer
camera. Each section of the regulator
corresponds to one of 14 quality presets (quality presets parameters are
described in 3.5.2.7 section). Quality parameters depend on codec, selected
in the camera properties – DVPack 1.42 or DVPack 2 (see 3.5.1.3 section) –
and on type of video capture card, to which camera is connected (see 3.1.2.5
section).
