3. Select Enable alarm messages sending to other VideoNet computers check-
box. If this check-box is not selected, no information about alarms by perimeter
devices, will be sent to other computers.
4. On computers, which must receive notifications about all alarms in perimeter
security system, go to the Network configuration page and open Message
service tab.
5. Add to the list of message servers those
message servers
(there can be
several computers, to which perimeter security system is connected), from
which each of these computers –
message server
clients – received alarm
messages.
To do that, click
Add button on the configuration page toolbar and select
necessary network computers in the opened Select window. Click OK .
6. Click Apply button on the main toolbar to save changes, you have made.
In case of
alarm
by perimeter device , message about this will be displayed on
the status panel in the Surveillance mode. Operator of remote computer (message
server client) in case of alarm in perimeter security system will see
alarm state
of
perimeter objects on a plan (if they are arranged on the graphic plan, with which
he is working at the present moment), and also will see message, containing:
• alarm type;
• perimeter device name;
• additional information, depending on alarm.
Both alarms, appeared in perimeter security system , and all skips and
confirmations of alarms by network operators will be registered in the Event Log .
In more detail working with the Event Log is described in 4.3 section. Operator’s
working with perimeter security system is described in the next section.
