Upgrade the Server from Four to Eight CMODs (FRU)

This locking action is accompanied by a click sound.

Install power supply, PS3. See

“Install a Power Supply” on page 144

Prepare the server for operation. See

“Returning the Server to

Operation” on page 237

Verify that the Power OK indicator on the PS indicator panel turns on steady

after power is supplied to the server and the server is in Main power mode.

Clear any related component faults.

If you have a server configured with four CMODs, you can expand the server's processing

capabilities by upgrading the server configuration to eight CMODs.

Before You Begin

Obtain the Four CPU Module Package. The package contains the components required to

upgrade the server.
