A new Long Life (LL) service concept has been released for the SMC Mk 4, HPC Mk 4
and HPX Mk 4 reciprocating compressor series. The advantage is increased time be-
tween compressor services. The new LL service diagrams are implemented corre-
spondingly in the maintenance module.

1.1.0.7

A new high-pressure version of SAB 193 S, SAB 233 S, SAB 283 S and SAB 355 S
screw compressors with 40 Bar design pressure has been added: the four new types
are: SAB 193 H, SAB 233 H, SAB 283 H and SAB 355 H.

For SABflex, the Start-up SSTV limiter conditions have been adjusted. With the present
start-up limiter function, the SSTV valve is kept closed when the external suction pres-
sure is high or the oil pressure low. Now the SSTV valve is kept closed during start-up
if the internal suction pressure is high or the oil pressure low.

The HPC series is released in a 50 Bar version. As a result the discharge pressure
shutdown and alarm max. limits and set point max. limits have been raised. Now these
max. limits are identical for HPC and HPO reciprocating compressors.

For the HPC and HPX reciprocating compressors, the oil filter differential pressure lim-
its have been updated to be consistent with the SMC compressors in general.

A

High liquid level

limiter has been implemented for ChillPAC Mk 3 to protect the com-

pressor. When the high liquid level sensor indicates high level in the evaporator, the
limiter will reduce compressor capacity until the liquid level is back to normal.

It is now possible to enable Modbus or Profibus control of digital inputs. A new configu-
ration point,

has been introduced.

The Modbus.xml file is updated with four new look-up table addresses:

The slide travel ratios for the SAB 283 X and SAB 355 X screw compressor types were
not correct. They have now been updated.

For SAB 80 and Stal S 50-S 70-S 93 there was an error in the initialisation of the high
limit (SP2) for supervising the oil pump pressure: it was set to 3.0 Bar. This has now
been corrected to 16.0 Bar.
