Setting the Boot Path

To set the boot path, at the Guardian Service Processor (GSP) Main Menu, enter

PA PRI

Hcell/SBA/LBA/dev/func.device specific

, where:

•

Hcell is the cell number.

•

SBA (System Bus Adapter) is the REO number, which is always 0.

•

LBA (Local Bus Adapter) is the Rope number, which can have one of the following numbers depending on
the slot the device is in. See Table 6-1.

•

dev is the PCI device number. Up to 32 are possible. Most PCI cards have only one device, or function;
some have two; and some have as many as four functions.

•

func.device is the PCI function for cards that are multifunction and the device specific information, such
as the SCSI ID for a disk.

For example:

PA pri 0/0/2/0/0.2

is a path to a SCSI disk drive on Cell 0, System Bus Adapter (SBA) 0,

Local Bus Adapter (LBA) 2, PCI device 0, PCI function 0, SCSI ID 2.
