Configuring the ID Number for Shelves Using a LCD 

Display

This subsection describes how to set up, lock, and unlock the shelf ID for 
shelves using a LCD display.

The procedures below apply to the following shelf types:

•

SH9HU

•

SH7HU and SH7HU-R

•

1HU shelf types with LCD display (prior types)

Figure 100 on p. 325

 illustrates an example of the LCD shelf display and the 

push-buttons for configuring the shelf ID.

If the shelf is used as a Master Shelf then do not change the shelf ID from "1". If 
you use a shelf as a Main Shelf connected to a Master Shelf then you need to 
modify the shelf ID number. 

Unlocking the Shelf ID 

To unlock the shelf ID, proceed as follows:

Procedure

Step 1

Press the enter button for approx. 5 seconds. After 5 seconds the Ser-
vice Menu appears on the display.

Step 2

Use the lower arrow button to mark the menu item Shelf ID. 

Step 3

Press the enter button to confirm and open the Shelf ID submenu.

Step 4

Use the lower arrow button to move to the item Unlock and press the 
enter button to confirm. 

Step 5

Use the upper arrow button to navigate to the angled arrow symbol at 
the very top and press the enter button to return to the Service Menu.

Step 6

Press the enter button once more to save the setting and to close the 
Service Menu. The display will indicate the set shelf ID number again. 
If the lock symbol is no longer shown on the display, unlocking was 
successful.
